Easy Peasy Car Wash: A Simple Guide to Make Your Ride Shine!

DIY car cleaning hacks

In this simple car wash guide we will shed some light on how to wash your car for absolute begineers, basically car washing for dummies!

Washing your car can be a hassle, especially if you don’t have the right equipment. The process is frustrating, and when you rush, you end up causing swirl marks or even worse, permanent scratches.

You can avoid all these mistakes by following this simple car wash guide. Five minutes of your time can literally save you thousands in paint job costs over time. So read carefully!

Items Required

– Bucket
– Pressure washer (a regular pipe nozzle will work too)
– Car wash shampoo (with or without wax)
– 4 microfiber cloths

These materials are readily available at your local big-box stores, so getting your hands on them isn’t hard. Now let’s get into how to make your car squeaky clean.

Step 1: Rinse

The first step is straightforward. Just soak the car in water, spraying with pressure in areas where mud is lodged. If you have a pressure washer, this works like a charm. The goal is to remove all the loose dirt from the car.

Bonus Tip: If your car has a lot of tar and bug marks, these won’t come off without applying a bug remover. This product is also readily available in supermarkets.

Step 2: Soap

Read the instructions on the car shampoo and make the necessary amount required for your car. Then, attach your spray bottle to the washer and spray all over the car. You can get a special spray hose if you’re using a normal garden pipe, as most come with this attachment. The goal of this step is to soak your car in the shampoo—it should look like snow fell on it.

Step 3: Wash

Take your microfiber cloths and soak two of them in the bucket. Remove one, and start washing your car with it. Then, take the second cloth and do the same. Repeat until the entire car is done. PS: Don’t let the cloth touch the bottom, as there’s a lot of grime and dirt there.

Step 4: Rinse

Wash your entire car with water to remove all the soap.

Step 5: Buff

Now your car is completely washed. If you used a shampoo infused with wax, now would be the time to buff it off. This simply means drying the entire car. Take a dry cloth and start rubbing until the car starts shining. The same is to be done if you have a ceramic coating infusion. Or, you can just buy these chemicals and apply them after washing with a normal shampoo.

And that’s all there is to it! I know car washing sounds complicated and tedious at first, but it’s actually very easy and very meditative as well.
