Federal regulators are slamming the brakes on self-driving cars

The Federal government has been putting restrictions on just about everything. It recently placed restrictions on self-driving car companies.

The new Mercedes-Benz S-class offers the closest thing to self-driving. It offers active cruise control, automatic braking and lane-keeping technologies. The driving experience is about 70% computerized. But not the government is placing restrictions on advancing technologies to self-driving cars.

Studies have shown that 90% of accidents are caused by human error. More than 30,000 people die every year from car accidents and its costs more than $200 billion a year on the economy.

This will also take a hit on american car companies because they will have to compete with European models who have more technology in their driving systems.
